What issues should be paid attention to when applying OPP heat sealing film?

2023-12-13

1. Before applying the film, please make sure the surface of the object is clean. If there are oil stains, organic solutions, low-molecular volatile objects, chemical substances, etc. on the surface of the object, it will be very easy to destroy the cohesion of the OPP heat sealing film glue, causing the film to be difficult to tear off or the adhesive layer to remain.

2. Some OPP heat sealing films do not have UV resistance, so they cannot be used under long-term direct sunlight. Objects placed outdoors for a long time cannot be protected with this kind of protective film.

3. The protective film is not resistant to high temperatures, so it cannot be pasted on high-temperature objects greater than 150°C.

4. Since plastic objects contain a variety of plasticizers, toughening agents, release agents and other substances, certain tests should be carried out before use to confirm that there is no alienation reaction before they can be used in batches.

5. Unsmooth object surfaces, or frosted or brushed surfaces are rough, which will affect the adhesion effect of the OPP heat sealing film. Therefore, appropriate protective films should be selected according to different materials. If conditions permit, secondary polishing and polishing can be performed before applying a protective film.

6. When using OPP heat sealing film, pay attention to the stretchability and ductility of the protective film. Some protective films have weak stretchability, and if used carelessly, the service life of the protective film will be shortened.

7. For aluminum profile type items, low-viscosity products should be used after polishing. The oxidized surface must ensure that there are no holes or leaks before the film can be applied, otherwise residues will easily appear.
